To announce the winners and the 30 selected candidates for the Encounter of the Sun with the Moon Illustration Competition , Solisluna held a live broadcast on its YouTube channel, on September 21st. The online meeting was attended by the creators, Valéria Pergentino, Enéas Guerra and Kin Guerra; and the professionals on the jury, responsible for the final selection, Ciça Fittipaldi (teacher, author and illustrator), Goya Lopes (researcher, illustrator and visual artist) and Rico Lins (graphic designer, teacher and illustrator).
First place went to Bruno de Almeida, second place went to Letícia Graciano Nunes and third place to Bruna Martins. There was also the Special Jury Prize category, taken by Pedro Campos.
“ In addition to being an illustrator, I had the opportunity to participate in some juries, which put me in close contact with the world of illustration. The opportunity to come into contact with work from all corners of the world only reinforced my intention: I think it is important for us to always have a dose of risk, surprise, complexity. Graphic work is also intellectual work, it has a formative nature. It was really cool to have participated with Ciça and Goya and to have been invited to this celebration. I hope everyone felt celebrated. This is quite an opportunity. ”, stated Rico Lins.
