Collection: Iêda Marques

Born in the city of Boninal in Bahia, she is a photographer, and also works on projects linked to education, popular culture, the environment, community articulation and mobilization with an emphasis on family farming. His goal in life and professional achievement is to document and reveal the cultural richness of regions such as Chapada Diamantina and Western Bahia, best known for their natural beauty, which are found in the caatinga and cerrado biomes. During 2004 and 2005, Iêda was director of the Chapada Diamantina National Park.

He participated in several publications and exhibitions in Bahia, Brazil and abroad. There are photos in the collections of the São Paulo Museum of Art, the Museu da Casa Brasileira and the Pirelli Collection. In 1998, he won the Marc Ferrez Photography Prize, Funarte/Minc. Through Solisluna Editora, he published the book “Iêda Marques: souvenirs, imaginary and reality”
