Reading together is good!
Solisluna publishes for children and adults. I usually say that our children's books are aimed at people aged 0 to 100. These are works for children, with relevant, sensitive themes, thus promoting necessary dialogues. Stories that entertain, but also make you think. That instigate and provoke questions from our girls and boys - there are so many 'whys', right?
Our books deal with Brazilian culture, our diversity and identity, our traditions, the creative people that are our people, and also issues relevant to today's society, such as inclusion, diversity, migration and differences. We want to stimulate debates, inspire families to talk about new ways of seeing and living the world, without embarrassment, without deafening silences.

TEMPO REI: A chat with Alessandro Marimpietri
Psychologist focused on childhood, adolescence and family, the pandemic brought him (and everyone) a new rhythm of life, a more intense coexistence with his son Lucca. In this context, he wrote When We Are One , in which he addressed the relationship between father and son. Now, in What is time? , which comes out this month, also from Solisluna , time, as the title suggests, is the king of the story.
In this interview, the author talks about the second book, time in its various dimensions, how his son and his office influence his literary work and how to get children to read in a world full of technological stimuli.
“We have to offer the best to children in text, images, layout; always leave good books within their reach; to be an example of reading and enchantment with the world.”

Protagonists of your stories
Written by adults, children's books are educational, playful, important works, indispensable for discussing childhood and getting to know children in today's world - completely different from those of decades ago.
But who better to talk about themselves, their needs and experiences, from their perspectives, if not themselves? This is the starting point of A Journey into Children's Rights , an illustrated book written by many little hands, in which girls and boys express thoughts, desires and requests directed at adults.
Despite the cut - the texts are from Italian children, aged five and six - the questions presented here represent issues common to all childhoods, anywhere on the planet.
These are reflections like this: “If adults are not intelligent, they do not think and do not protect children. If a person is intelligent and knows a lot of things, they teach it to the child, so the child grows up, becomes an adult and, if they get a child, they teach it to them, and so on…”
